| Preparation for
Travel – Business or Pleasure |
| |
| Preparing for
personal or business travel should include more than purchasing airline
tickets, booking a hotel and ground travel. This course will focus on
preparing for travel to ensure safety and what to do if the unexpected
does happen. Information is available on travel safety tips, travel
insurance needs, what to take on the trip, health concern and medical
evacuation. Be prepared for any emergency or crisis that may occur when

| Blood-Borne Pathogens |
| The program
educators are specialized health care personnel with extensive knowledge
and experience with blood-borne pathogens. This course is designed to
identify risks and manage blood-borne pathogen exposure in the workplace
or during travel. The participants will be able to identify possible
exposure, mitigation and proper notification procedures along. |

Biohazards |
Dealing with biohazards is a complex
process that requires planning and the development of procedures and
standards along with education and training.
Following completion of
this program, you will not only understand the roles and responsibilities
of various agencies but will be knowledgeable in the handling of
bio-chemical exposure or event. Course includes: |

| Prevention &
Control of Infectious Respiratory Diseases |
| |
Our program
developers and instructors actively work in the Canadian health care
system and were front-line workers in air and land ambulance during the
outbreak of SARS in Toronto, Ontario Canada in 2003. Standards of care for
patients and for staff protection following the ISO 9001-2000
international standards where developed by our educators and remain in
place for the protection of all persons.
This program provides
training for health care workers, emergency services staff and airline
crews. It covers a description of Respiratory Protection Standards,
identifying infectious respiratory conditions, self protection, and
assessment of the work environment.

| Training on
respiratory protection explains:
|
• when
respiratory protection is required and its limitations
• what type of
respiratory protection is required
• proper use, fit, and care of
respiratory protection
Experienced paramedics and/or critical care
nurses will provide the training provide the training and testing of this
program. The program can be offered at your location or if you prefer
attend one of our pre-scheduled courses. Certificate upon satisfactory
completion. (Total Hours 60 hours) |
